The aim of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs is to holistically stimulate the body's natural healing processes.

Traditional Chinese Medicine [TCM] consists mainly of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. It has been continually practised and developed for over 2000 years.

A trilogy of classical medical texts from the Han Dynasty in China form the developmental basis of this healing tradition.

The Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen and the Huang Di Nei Jing Ling Shu were compiled in the 2nd century BC, and the Nan Jing was compiled in the 1st century AD.

Since the compilation of the Nan Jing (The Classic of Difficult Issues), there has been a constant stream to this day of commentaries on this work written by Chinese and Japanese scholars. This process underlies the transmission of the ancient ideas and insights to the present day.

For the Western practitioner, serious philological translations of these three works are available in English.
