About Alan Tarlinton, Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist

Alan has devoted over 40 years to his development of the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), gaining profound depth and breadth of experience. He is sensitive to the needs and states of his patients.

Alan began his studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1974 and started practising in 1978.

He was a founding director of the Acupuncture Ethics and Standards Organisation Limited, a professional body.

He served as President of a private teaching college [the Sydney Institute of TCM] and as such was involved in establishing the degree course in TCM at the University of Western Sydney.

Alan is a registered acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist and is a Fellow of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association. Over the years, Alan has worked with patients presenting with a wide range of health issues. His philosophy is the harmony of spirit, mind and body.

Alan is committed to sustainable practice, and he does not use herbs derived from endangered species.
